Armenians followed the Biskra region, including the Numidian civilization, then the Roman, the Byzantine and the Islamic era. Biskra Province is located in the southeastern side of Algeria, sprawled over an area estimated at 21671.20 km². It emerged under the administrative division of 1974 according to Commercial Decree No. 74/130, comprising 12 departments branching out from 33 municipalities.
